Abstract
The knowledge on maritime traffic safety is collected from 3 groups of practical workers(maritime regulators, mariners and pilots) through questionnaire and the factors affecting the safety are identified. Influencing factors of safety are sorted in the order of significance by means of entropy weight method. The 3 groups of people who play different roles in traffic process generally agree that the visibility and waterway situation are two most significant factors in Western Shenzhen waters. However, further study shows the discrepancy in their opinions. The opinions of regulator group and mariner group are mediumly correlated and so are those of mariner group and pilot group, but opinions of regulator group and pilot group only have low correlation.
