Abstract
To recognize a navigation mark against light from urban area is rather demanding. The augment system can adjust the light intensity of navigation marks according to ambient light around them so as to facilitate the task. The need for light strengthening of navigation marks at urban area are investigated and the control system is designed with embedded control and radio communication technology. The augment system is composed of a number of terminals and a platform to achieve hierarchical control of navigation marks. The system has been installed and noticeable improvement is seen.
