    3D Virtual Ship Construction and Simulation Through VR Interactive Technology

    • Higher standard for seafarer training is requested by 2010 amendment of STCW(International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers) issued by IMO(International Maritime Organization), and 3D virtual reality technology is being introduced into the marine simulator training.The LOD(Levels of Detail Modelling) is used in construction of the geometric model of 3D virtual ship for better realistic presentation, real time response and reusability.3D scene roaming, collision detection, quick navigation and moving are achieved.The function for building 3D interactive models through geometry transformation is available.The Design has been used in marine simulator training.
