Abstract
In order to evaluate and exam the effectiveness of the control of ship formation lockage, a 3D real time simulation system is developed. The system is designed as distributed architecture. The topographic map of the lock water area is generated based on the mapped satellite imagery of the area. The 3D simulation of static and dynamic scene is generated with Unity. The complete blockage system is modeled with the combination of static and dynamic models. The formation of ships depends on ship's dimensions and the width of the lock, so the simulation of the blockage process is carried out for column formation and side-by-side formation. The simulation system is verified through simulating the processes of adaptive cruise formation lockage and two-way multiple formation lockage.
