Application of Mixed Reality to Escape Path Planning for Passenger Ship in Turnover Accident

    • Application of Mixed reality in planning escape paths on passenger ships is studied in order to enhance the effectiveness of the plan and the drill. Based on the hardware HoloLens, the scene of passenger ship overturn is built with Unity. Vuforia and VSLAM (Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) technologies are used to Blend virtual and real scenes. The A* algorithm, that is improved by expanding searching neighborhood and increasing the weight of the heuristic function is introduced into the mixed reality scene to perform escape path planning. The arrangement is tested, which demonstrates its effectiveness and other advantages.
