    Fuel replenishment strategy and speed optimization of container liner under global sulfur restriction

    • Based on the effectiveness and implementation background of the global sulfur restriction, this paper respectively establishes the fuel replenishment strategy and speed optimization model of container liner for the two solutions of fuel conversion and scrubber installation, with the goal of minimizing the total operating cost of ships in a round-trip voyage. The models jointly optimized the ship speed, fuel replenishment port, fuel replenishment quantity and route ship allocation quantity. The hybrid coding genetic algorithm is used to optimize the model, and the effectiveness of the model and algorithm is verified by an actual example. The results show that the optimal speed and fuel replenishment strategies are different under the two schemes, and the ship operation cost can be effectively reduced by appropriately relaxing the requirements of ship arrival time.
