    Piecewise Quadratic Interpolation Model for Predicting Tide Height at Arbitrary point of Inland River

    • Accurate tide high prediction is essential for large ships sailing in or out at a harbor. A model for predicting tide height at inland river is constructed with piecewise quadratic interpolation. The high tide time at given place is calculated according to the distance-time relation of the tide flow and the tide height there at high tide moment is calculated according to the distance-tide height relation. The tide height at other time is calculated through piecewise fitting.
