Abstract:
A suitability evaluation index system concerning the major freight categories handled, major functioning of docks, and performance in generalis devised for Ningbo Zhoushan Port. The restraint cone is introduced to constrain the factors influencing port suitability and the C
2WH (cone ratio data envelopment analysis) model is used to evaluate the suitability of the major freight category handled and the functioning of major docks. The comprehensive suitability evaluation of the capacity and function of Zhoushan Port in generalis performed according to fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model. The evaluation shows that the suitability of major freight category and dock function infare basically good, but for inputs and outputs of container cargo, the suitability can be improved. Meanwhile, it is found that the capacity of Zhenhai Dock and Shengsi Dock is, in a degree, beyond needs. In general, the condition of Zhoushan Port, the shoreline, anchorage and berthage, will meet the demands for 10 years ahead.
