Abstract:
The connotation of green ship is discussed systematically and comprehensively. The development status of green ship technologies is reviewed and the impacts of green technologies on ships in whole lifecycle are summarized. An inland ship greenization level assessment system is developed to improve the rationality, reliability, flexibility and efficiency of the assessment process. The index system measures inland ship's level of green technology application in 3 dimensions: ship itself, effect of used technology, and economy. The evaluation method of each index is devised. An inland hybrid power bulk carrier is examined for illustration. The operation data from the ship is examined by the assessment model. The examination shows that, compared to diesel power, the green technology used can reduce total carbon emissions by 12.3% and cost by 8.9% in whole lifecycle. The Attained EEDI of the ship is 23.5% lower than tier Ⅲ benchmark of EEDI.
